Do you know the reasons for skin aging?

Human aging is a continuous and inevitable process of change that begins when the embryo is formed. This suggests that aging begins at birth.

Aging is irreversible, but it can be slowed down

Aging is predetermined by genes and cannot be reversed for the time being, but it can be delayed to a certain extent through skin care and reducing damage to the skin. It is even possible to look ten years younger than your peers by sticking to proper skin care.

Ultraviolet rays are the number one killer of the skin

Among all the factors that lead to skin aging, ultraviolet rays are the most critical. They cause the skin's collagen and elastin to break down and denature, causing the epidermis to abnormally thicken and the pigmentation to increase. In short, it is the number one killer of the skin!

The harm caused by ultraviolet rays begins from the moment we are born, but children often lack awareness of protection and often participate in outdoor activities, which basically accumulates 50% of ultraviolet damage, but it may not be noticeable to the naked eye! And when it continues to accumulate and begins to show up, the consequences will be serious. Therefore, acquired sun protection is still very, very important.

The point can be illustrated by a case of skin that appears very young but is actually severely aged.

From the picture A, the skin appears smooth and plump, but the ultraviolet photo in picture B shows a large number of dark spots, which are called "chromophores".

Chromophores refer to substances that can absorb ultraviolet rays. There are three main types in the skin: melanin, hemoglobin, and glycosylation products (mainly destroyed collagen). The third type is one of the most important signs of aging.

As we age, UV damage increases. If the skin is not protected, chromophores will increase and darken. Perhaps at a certain age or even after childbirth, aging may suddenly occur, or all kinds of skin problems may appear, when in fact they have been lurking for a long time.
