Is acne contagious? Analysis of the causes of acne

Are acne and pimples contagious? I believe that some of you are not very clear about this question. It doesn’t matter. Below I will analyze the causes of acne and pimples for you. Let’s learn about it together.

Are acne and pimples contagious?

In Western medicine, acne is divided into 4 types.

1. Inflammatory acne: Blackheads and whiteheads appear on the face, and there is pus in the pimples, which will hurt when touched. Most of these pimples appear suddenly.

2. Rosacea: It often occurs near the nose, is light in color, and feels numb when pressed lightly. It is mostly caused by repeated attacks.

3. Cystic acne: Acne of varying sizes and numbers on the face is generally caused by internal lesions turning into chronic lesions.

4. Mixed acne: It has all three of the above forms and is a complex lesion.

These acne can be divided into mild, moderate and severe levels according to their severity.

Mild acne does not affect the appearance of the face very much, but when it reaches moderate or even severe, it will seriously affect your mood; many acne patients will even find that they are ignored or rejected by their friends because of the acne on their faces.

When talking about the psychological impact of acne on their faces, many acne patients said that they didn't even want to go out.

So, are acne, pimples and blackheads contagious?

Acne is not contagious!

Why?

This is due to the cause of acne.

The main cause of acne is endocrine disorders caused by dysfunction of internal organs. The sebaceous glands secrete too much oil, which leads to enlarged pores and blockage, resulting in thickening of the stratum corneum. As a result, the oil continues to accumulate, causing the skin surface to bulge, that is, the stratum corneum bulges, and oil clogs the pores. Finally, the apex of the bulge comes into contact with the air and oxidizes to form black. In this way, bacteria are constantly mixed with oil in the pores, and then Propionibacterium acnes multiplies in large numbers in this blocked and closed environment, causing continuous bacterial invasion and turning into pustules and nodules.

So acne is not caused by any virus or fungus, so it is not contagious, and it is not contagious no matter how serious it is.

Acne and pimples are not infectious diseases at all!

Therefore, acne patients do not need to have any psychological burden in this regard, just treat it boldly.
