Today I’m going to show you some treatments for facial allergies. Friends who are often prone to allergies, please take the time to read this with me. Treatment for facial allergies People say that the spring breeze is warm, but for people who are prone to allergies, it is purgatory! It’s warm when the breeze blows, but after a few minutes of comfort, many small bumps will appear on your face... The allergy season that comes several times a year is here again_(:з」∠)_Is there any way to get through it comfortably? Skin allergies come to you because the protective layer of your face is too thin Most people think that the main cause of skin allergies is "thin skin", but in fact it is the protective layer on our face - the stratum corneum - that becomes thinner. The outermost layer of the skin, the "stratum corneum", is the main force of the skin barrier. This protective film may be damaged if you over-exfoliate (over-wash your face), use cosmetics containing hormones, or undergo inappropriate beauty treatments. Once the protective film is destroyed, things like animal hair, pollen, dust mites, haze, and bacteria can easily irritate the skin, causing skin allergies and inflammation. But some people are born with a thin stratum corneum. If your skin is particularly white or prone to dryness, it is likely that your stratum corneum will be thinner. If you have allergies, these 3 tips can help! 1. Wash your face When you get home, wash your face with clean water first to wash off the pollen, dust mites, and bacteria on your face to prevent these allergens from continuing to irritate your skin. 2. Cold compress When you have skin allergies, the small blood vessels on your face will dilate and release some inflammatory substances, making your face red, hot, and itchy. Cold compresses can effectively shrink the dilated blood vessels and reduce the exudation of inflammatory substances, thereby alleviating the symptoms of allergies. During the acute stage of allergies (severe redness and fever on the face), you can try wrapping a clean cotton towel or cotton pad in an ice pack and applying a cold compress 4-6 times a day, each time for 10 minutes. If you don’t have an ice pack, you can use refrigerated mineral water (4~6°C) instead. 3. Take protective measures Wear a mask when going out. We need to remind everyone that in addition to outdoor allergens, indoor dust mites may also aggravate allergies. After washing your underwear and bedding, do not hang them outside to dry. It is best to dry them in a dryer or dry them indoors. Clean towels, pillowcases, and sheets regularly to prevent dust mites and bacteria from further exacerbating allergies. If you have an allergy, you can only wash your face with water and not with facial cleanser? When your face is red, hot, and itchy, it’s best to just use water… Many facial cleansers or cosmetics contain ingredients such as "sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), fruit acid, salicylic acid". In addition, additives such as fragrances and preservatives can easily aggravate skin allergies. Moreover, when you are allergic, the stratum corneum is already very weak. Using facial cleanser will only further damage the stratum corneum and make the skin allergy worse. So when your face is red, hot and itchy, just wash your face with clean water. When you have an allergy, can you not use any skin care products? You can use special skin care products for "sensitive skin" For allergic skin, the outer protective film has been damaged (the stratum corneum is very thin). While waiting for the stratum corneum to repair, it is best to cover the skin with an artificial protective cover, choose single-ingredient, mild cleansing and care products, and apply some medical skin care products specially for sensitive skin. Before use, you should also apply it on the inside of your wrist to see if you will have an allergic reaction. If not, then use it on your face. However, do not use products like fruit acid, salicylic acid, retinoic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, etc., as they will accelerate exfoliation and make the skin more sensitive. When you have allergies, should you pay more attention to sun protection? That’s right! The ultraviolet rays in the sun will prevent the skin from producing colloid fibers and cause melanocytes to produce melanin, which aggravates skin sensitivity. Therefore, when going out, you must take sun protection measures. Hats, masks, and parasols are preferred The additives in sunscreen may aggravate skin allergies. It is best to use physical sun protection measures such as hats and masks to isolate your face from the sun. |
