Facial soap, also known as beauty soap, cleansing soap, and nourishing soap, is a beauty and skin care soap with moisturizing, oil control, anti-acne, and whitening effects. So, why do we add ethanol to facial soap? Why do we add ethanol to facial soap? The addition of ethanol utilizes the high volatility of ethanol to quickly remove water, increase the solubility of oils and fats in alkaline solution (sodium hydroxide), and accelerate the saponification reaction. Ethanol does not actually participate in the chemical reaction, it is just a solvent. Speed up the curing of handmade soap. How to choose facial soap Before using cold-process facial soap, you should choose according to your skin type. No matter how good the cold-process facial soap is, it may not be suitable for you, because everyone's skin type is different, and in different seasons, the method and time of cleansing with cold-process facial soap are different. In summer, oil secretion is vigorous, so use a refreshing cold-process facial soap with strong cleaning power and the washing time should be appropriately longer. In winter, choose a moisturizing cold-process facial soap. How to use facial soap 1. Wash with warm water The water temperature for washing your face (around 30-40 degrees) is very important. It is best to moisten your face with warm water first, because the water vapor in the hot water will cause the pores to open and become larger, and the oil and dirt inside the pores can be washed away during washing. Although using cold water can help shrink the pores, using cold water directly cannot ensure that the pores are fully opened, nor can it wash away the oil and dirt on the face. 2. Rub out the foam Wet the facial soap and rub it between your palms to produce bubbles (or use a foaming net with appropriate amount of water to produce bubbles) until rich and fine bubbles appear. This is the most important step. If the soap is not rubbed out enough bubbles, the cleansing effect will not be so good. Remember to rub the facial soap out of fine bubbles before applying it to your face. Do not apply the entire piece of soap to your face! Then, use circular motions to spread the foam over the entire face, first massaging the cheeks, then massaging the forehead for a longer time, and finally massaging around the eyes, mouth, chin, etc. Try to be as gentle as possible and be careful not to use too much force. Generally, the massage time is about 3 minutes to achieve a good cleansing effect. 3. Wash with a soft towel Choose a soft towel with good texture, wet it fully and gently press it on your face, repeat several times to get rid of the soap foam, so as not to add burden to dry and sensitive skin. Do not scrub with a towel, as this will hurt the delicate skin. 4. Finally, wash with cold water It is recommended to wash the face with cold water at the end to help shrink the pores. The specific method is to scoop up cold water with both hands and pat the face for about 20 times, and at the same time gently apply a towel dipped in cold water to the face. This can shrink the pores and promote blood circulation in the face. |
