Why does your skin become darker? Isn't it because too much melanin has accumulated on the surface of the skin? Then follow the bug to understand what melanin is and how to fight melanin to make your skin whiter!

Why does it turn black?

Melanin-producing cells are one of the important components of the skin and belong to glandular cells. They exist in the basal layer of the surface layer and have the function of forming and secreting melanin. Melanocytes mostly appear in mitotic form and have dendritic processes. In the epidermal melanin unit, the dendritic processes of melanocytes penetrate deep into the epidermal keratinocytes and interact with them.

On the one hand, keratinocytes receive external stimuli and transmit neurotransmitters through dendrites, which can stimulate melanocytes to secrete more melanin. On the other hand, melanocytes transfer the formed mature melanin to keratinocytes through dendrites. The melanin in the surface keratinocytes exists in two forms: amorphous colloids and melanin granules. The formation process of melanin involves a series of enzyme-catalyzed oxidation reactions.

After melanin is produced, there are two main pathways: one is excretion from the kidneys after metabolism in the cells, where it reacts with lysosomal enzymes, undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis, and is then excreted with feces.

Another way is through the skin excretion, and melanin is transferred to keratin, moves to the stratum corneum with the growth of the epidermis, and finally falls off with the stratum corneum. Without external stimulation, the melanin secreted by melanocytes will fall off normally during the metabolism process and will not affect the skin color. When exposed to the sun or endocrine changes, the melanin will secrete more melanin due to external stimulation. These melanins cannot be metabolized out in time and will be deposited on the surface of the skin, making the skin darker. If it is only locally precipitated, it will form spots or make the original spots darker. The overall precipitation will bring about an even darkening of the skin color.

So how can we save our skin if we want to whiten it?

To sum up, the main reason why melanin can make the skin darker is that we put the skin in an irritating position (sun exposure, endocrine disorders, staying up late, ultraviolet stimulation, radiation, etc.), so the skin turns from white to dark. So if we want to whiten our skin, how can we save it?

Scientific research results show that after the synthesis of melanin particles, one way to whiten the skin is to restore them to their proper form. If the melanin particles can be restored to their original form, the whitening effect can be achieved. So what ingredient has the effect of redox? Of course, it must be VC. VC can effectively reduce oxidized skin, and can effectively restore melanin back to its original form, thereby whitening the skin.

In addition to VC, there is also Xinfubai, which has been popular in skin care products in recent years. It uses German patented whitening technology and is the first and only whitening ingredient approved by CFDA. It can effectively inhibit tyrosinase, and its inhibition rate on tyrosinase is 200 times that of kojic acid. The whitening effect is more than 6,000 times that of arbutin. It also has excellent antioxidant ability and has excellent performance for pigmentation caused by skin aging.
