Types of spots and their causes

Yellowish-brown dot-like pigmentation spots occur on the facial skin and are inherited in an autosomal dominant manner. Sun exposure can induce and aggravate skin lesions. It appears in brothers and sisters. It is not present at birth until it appears and becomes obvious during puberty. It is distributed on the face and various parts of the body. It is like millet grains, light brown or dark brown in color, and round in shape. Most siblings also have it.

Age spots, also known as "longevity spots", often appear on the hands, arms, cheeks and other parts of the elderly. They are medically called "lipofuscin pigments." This pigment is the product of cellular acid oxidation. It not only accumulates on the cell membranes of the skin, but also invades various organs in the body. There are two types: concave and uneven - repair is slower; slightly convex and uneven - repair is faster.
