Soap base is refined from vegetable oils, including coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, castor oil, glycerin and other nourishing and moisturizing elements. Salt is added during the soap-making process to separate glycerin, alkali liquid and water from the soap base, forming a soap base for 100% soap. Fragrances are then added and the soap is shaped using a mold to become the soap for daily use.

What is the difference between soap made from soap base and cold process soap?

Soap made from soap base is made by the hot process. Hot process soap requires continuous heating during the production process. Its advantage is that the soap making time is short and it can be used immediately after it is made.

Most of the soaps sold on the market and produced in soap bars are made using the hot process, and glycerin is produced in the soap-making process, so the glycerin is usually extracted to prevent it from absorbing water and becoming soaked. The remaining soap, combined with additives, becomes the commercially available soap we see.

Cold process soap retains the glycerin completely in the soap, and glycerin accounts for almost a quarter of the cold process soap. Because glycerin is a natural moisturizer, cold-process soap will not feel tight after washing like soap without glycerin.

The biggest advantage of soap base is its strong cleaning ability, but it may also lead to over-cleaning, so after using soap-based products, you must also replenish water in time to avoid water and oil imbalance.
