When to use protective lotion

When to use protective lotion

When should protective lotion be used? This may be a question that many people are not very clear about. There are so many types of skin care products and cosmetics. Have you figured out when is the best time to use protective lotion? What is the difference between protective lotion and sunscreen? Let's take a look.

When to use protective lotion

Protective lotion should be used after basic skin care steps. Basic skin care includes facial cleanser, toner, essence, lotion, face cream, protective lotion and isolation cream, which have similar effects, so you should use protective lotion after using face cream. Although general protective lotions contain isolation ingredients that can protect against the sun, the sun protection effect of protective lotions is generally not as good as isolation, so it is recommended to apply a layer of isolation cream after applying the protective lotion.

The functional difference between sunscreen and protection

1. In addition to sun protection, protective lotion also has an isolation effect and has more multiple functions. Most of the products contain antioxidants, whitening ingredients or vitamin ingredients. Compared with ordinary sunscreens, isolation creams have purer ingredients, are easier to absorb, and can prevent dirty air and ultraviolet rays from damaging the skin.

2. Relatively speaking, sunscreen is a professional sun protection product. It can not only prevent the skin from getting tanned, but also effectively protect the skin from sunburn. Sunscreens with different SPFs have different sun protection effects. Sun protection is not only used in summer, but is needed all year round. You just need to choose sunscreens with different SPFs and use them at different times.

3. Protective lotion is a base makeup product, which mainly reduces the damage of makeup to the skin and makes the makeup more delicate and fitting. Applying protective lotion is an important step to isolate makeup and protect the skin. If you apply foundation without using a protective lotion, the foundation will clog your pores and damage your skin. It will also easily cause the foundation to fall off, commonly known as "eating" the foundation. The purpose of using a primer before applying makeup is to provide the skin with a clean and gentle environment, forming a "front line" of defense against external invasion. Sunscreen does not have this function.
