Should you apply lotion or emulsion directly? Is your skin care method correct?

Toner and lotion are basic skin care products that every woman has. However, the skin care effects of different people vary greatly, and the reason is that the skin care methods are incorrect. There are two ways to apply lotion, one is "patting" and the other is "applying". So, should lotion be patted or applied directly?

Should I apply the lotion or apply it directly?

Both patting and painting. Pat the toner on your face to speed up blood circulation in the face and help the skin absorb nutrients more effectively. But don’t pat it directly, as this will easily waste water and have poor results. It is generally recommended to wipe it with a cotton pad first and then pat it. As for lotion, rub it with the palm of your hand until it is warm, and then apply it to your face. This will make the lotion absorb faster and also prevent it from "floating" on your face.

Correct skin care techniques for lotion and emulsion

1. Toner

Indeed, when you pat your skin with your hands, you can speed up blood circulation in the face and enhance the skin's absorption of products. But the disadvantage of doing so is that it wastes a lot of water. Because the texture of toner is relatively thin, much of it flows away from the palms and between fingers, and the effect is not good. Also, many people use the patting method to apply toner, but toner is easily evaporated when patting, so the amount of toner that the skin can absorb will be very small. The end result is that our skin may become drier, and excessive patting of the skin can also cause skin sensitivity.

In this case, it is recommended to use a cotton pad to gently wipe it on the face. This can not only reduce evaporation, but also wipe off the dust on the face and give the face a secondary cleansing. Moreover, the cotton pad can also allow the toner to lock in moisture for a short period of time. This is much better than directly patting it, and it won’t be so wasteful.

Although toner is better absorbed when applied to the face with a cotton pad, you can also gently pat your face with your hands after applying the toner. This can promote blood circulation and accelerate the absorption of skin care products.

However, if you have dry or sensitive skin, it is recommended not to use cotton pads, because rubbing the skin with too much external force will make the skin drier and more sensitive. If you can't use a cotton pad, you can apply it in small amounts and multiple times. Dry or sensitive skin is inherently delicate and requires special treatment and care.

2. Lotion

The texture of lotion is a little thicker than toner. Many people like to pat the skin care products with their hands gently when using thick skin care products, thinking that this can "pat" the skin care products into the skin. In fact, this method of patting lotion with hands is not very scientific, because the texture of lotion is thick, and in the cold winter weather, it will be difficult to absorb if you pat it directly on the face, and the lotion will "float" on the face.

After squeezing out the lotion, you should rub it with the palm of your hand until it is warm, and then apply it to your face. This will make the lotion absorb faster and also prevent the lotion from "floating" on your face easily.
