Exfoliating gel is a common exfoliating product. Everyone should be familiar with exfoliation. Exfoliation is a very common skin care step and our skin needs to be exfoliated regularly. So, how often should you use exfoliating gel? How often should you use exfoliating gel? Exfoliating gel should be used no more than twice a week, and only once for sensitive skin. This is to prevent excessive dissolution of keratin, which will make the skin fragile and cause other skin problems. Especially in the dry winter, the exfoliation cycle can be extended even longer. Never exfoliate when your skin is unstable. Who is not suitable for exfoliation? 1. Soft skin does not require exfoliation Epidermal cells are produced from the deepest part of the epidermis (the basal layer) and push outward layer by layer. When they reach the outermost layer of the epidermis (the stratum corneum), their "life ends" and they naturally fall off as dandruff. This process is what is commonly referred to as a 28-day cycle, but as you age, this cycle will naturally lengthen. 2. Younger skin Healthy young skin has a youthful radiance and the metabolism of keratinocytes is normal, so there is no need to exfoliate specifically. Even if you look tired occasionally, or get exposed to the sun due to insufficient sun protection, and your skin looks a little dark and stuffy, you will recover quickly as long as you get a good rest. 3. Red bloodshot skin Whether it is dry or oily red blood-streaked skin, it is skin with a very thin epidermis and damaged hydrolipidic barrier function, so it is particularly susceptible to external damage and causes irritation and allergies. For this kind of skin, even if the skin test shows that there is dead skin cell, try not to exfoliate. Exfoliation precautions 1. When the skin condition is unstable, you cannot exfoliate; 2. For combination skin, it is best to exfoliate in different areas, with the T-zone and U-zone being the most important areas, while dry skin areas are best ignored; 3. If your skin is thin, do not use strong exfoliating products containing scrub particles or salicylic acid. Gentle exfoliation is the best choice; 4. Intense hydration is also an effective way to remove dead skin cells. When the skin is moisturized, dead skin cells will fall off naturally, so using an intense hydrating mask is also a good way. 5. In summary, exfoliation should be as gentle as possible. Do not use strong exfoliating products just for the sake of smooth skin after exfoliation. Otherwise, it will easily make your skin thinner, weaken your resistance to the outside world, and even make your skin sensitive. |
