Why are my eyelids still dry after applying eye cream? Why don’t I use eye cream on my eyelids?

Eye cream is a very common skin care product. It is used around the eyes. But sometimes after applying eye cream, you will find that the area around the eyes is very dry, just like before applying eye cream. Why does it become so dry after applying eye cream?

Why is my eye still dry after applying eye cream?

There are mainly three reasons:

1. Choose thick texture

The situation where your skin becomes very dry after applying eye cream usually occurs in winter. The air is relatively dry in winter, and the moisture on your face evaporates quickly. In winter, you should choose an eye cream with a thick texture so that it can moisturize your face. If you choose a refreshing eye cream, it will be the same as not applying it on your face. It will dry up after a while, and after it dries, you will feel that the area around your eyes is very dry.

2. Use eye patches regularly

People whose eye skin is prone to dryness should use eye patches every two days. It is best to choose eye patches that can cover the entire eye area, not just the lower part. After applying the eye patch, you should massage the eyes. Massage can help the eyes absorb the essence as quickly as possible. Then wash the remaining essence with clean water and then apply eye cream.

3. Do not use other skin care products except eye skin care products

Winter is dry in itself, and you feel like your whole body is being evaporated. Apart from professional eye skin care products such as eye cream, eye patches, eye essence, etc., other skin care products are rarely applied around the eyes. The texture of creams and lotions used in daily life is not as delicate as eye creams, and applying them around the eyes will easily cause fat particles to grow. Another thing is that the toner contains alcohol, which can easily cause allergies if applied around the eyes.

Why don't you use eye cream on your eyelids?

You need to use eye cream on your upper eyelids.

To apply eye cream, use your fingers to apply it from the lower corner of the eye inward, then apply it to the eyelids. After making circles, the eye cream will be completely absorbed. Pay attention to the order of using eye cream. Use eye cream before using other cosmetics because the area around the eyes is very fragile. Applying eye cream first can protect the skin around the eyes.

The eyes need hydration and massage. You can massage in clockwise or counterclockwise circles. Just press and make sure the eye cream is absorbed by the skin.
