Why should you avoid exfoliating for acne? What situations should you not exfoliate for?

Acne is something that many people have on their faces, especially during adolescence. After a good night's sleep, the next day your face is covered with pimples and you can't even bear to look at it. Why should you avoid acne when exfoliating? In what situations should you not exfoliate?

Why should you exfoliate to avoid acne?

To avoid bacterial infection in acne and aggravating acne.

Exfoliating products can indeed clean some skin waste, but exfoliating products are generally quite irritating. The skin with acne is already quite sensitive, and once the pimples are irritated, they will grow rapidly and also accelerate the rupture of the pimples, which will easily cause infection.

Acne on the skin is related to endocrine disorders and clogged pores, and has nothing to do with exfoliation. Exfoliation can only clean the cuticle on the surface of the skin, which can only be said to play a role in preventing acne.

It is okay to exfoliate for one or two ordinary pimples, but if there are many blackheads or pustules, you cannot exfoliate. The skin with acne is relatively weak, and it will crack when irritated by exfoliating products, contaminating the skin in other places, causing new pimples to grow in other places.

Acne-prone skin is not suitable for exfoliation. Remove the acne first and then exfoliate.

What situations should you not exfoliate?

1. Peeling

When the skin is peeling, you cannot just remove the flaked skin and exfoliate it. The new skin is thinner and more tender. Once you exfoliate it, the skin's own defense ability will be reduced, and the peeling will become more serious. When the skin starts to peel, it needs to be hydrated and moisturized.

2. Acne inflammation

There are many types of acne. Inflamed and pus-filled acne cannot be exfoliated, and some pustules are contagious and can cause acne on other parts of the skin.

3. Skin diseases

People with flat warts are not suitable for exfoliation, as this is a contagious disease that can spread to other parts of the body.

4. Red blood streaks

The skin on the surface of red blood vessels is relatively thin, the barrier function of the hydrolipid film is damaged, the skin is very sensitive, and exfoliating products are irritating and can easily cause allergies.

This is the introduction to the reasons why exfoliation can help you avoid acne. You can’t exfoliate whenever you want. It depends on the condition of your skin.
