Can I bring sunscreen spray on the subway?

You can’t take it on the subway. High-pressure canned items such as sunscreen spray are flammable and explosive. This type of filling is easy to vaporize. When the can is exposed to high temperature or collision, the liquid will vaporize faster and the pressure will rise sharply. When it exceeds the pressure resistance of the can, it will explode, so it cannot be brought into the subway. Sprays with labels such as "flammable or explosive" or "keep away from fire" on the bottles are not allowed on the subway.

The hidden dangers of spray sunscreen

The liquid or gas in the pressure vessel is compressed in the iron tank by high pressure. Once external pressure is applied to it, or it is exposed to high temperature and sunlight for a long time, unimaginable consequences will occur, such as explosion. However, whether such containers are flammable depends mainly on the compressed gas, flammable liquid and alcohol content.

Subway regulations on carrying sunscreen spray

According to the relevant regulations on prohibited and restricted carrying in operational security checks, all kinds of common skin care, hair care and cosmetics can be brought into the station (in regular packaging and without the words "flammable, explosive or corrosive"). However, daily chemical products with foreign words on them can only be brought into the station after passengers cooperate in trying them out and test spraying them. The bottle capacity of products such as mousse, perm solution, hair spray, insecticide and air freshener shall not exceed 200 ml.

If the spray contains words such as flammable, explosive or corrosive, it is strictly prohibited to bring it into the station and onto the train. However, some subway stations have different regulations: one person can carry no more than two bottles of sunscreen or moisturizing spray with flammable signs but no more than 300ml per bottle. This still needs to vary from place to place, but it is best not to use sprays with flammable labels.
