Can closed comedones be squeezed? Can a comedone needle be used?

Closed comedones are a type of acne that many people will encounter. If you have closed comedones, your entire face will not look good. Can closed comedones be squeezed? Can closed comedones be treated with a comedone needle?

Speaking of closed comedones, many people have had them. If you have these pimples, your whole face will be full of pits and it won’t look good at all. Let’s see if closed comedones can be squeezed? Can closed comedones be treated with comedone needles?

Can closed comedones be squeezed?

Don't squeeze in casually. If you squeeze, pick or scratch closed comedones after they appear, it may cause infection and cause the closed comedones to grow more and more. The yellow hard particles of keratinized mature closed comedones may be squeezed out with light pressure, but this is only the case occasionally. Most closed comedones are small white and will turn into large, red, swollen and shiny pimples if squeezed!

If you really can't help squeezing, be sure to use the correct method. After cleaning the skin, use two clean cotton swabs to press hard on both sides of the acne until the linear secretions in the acne are removed. To avoid inflammation, you can clean the wound with saline solution, or apply iced mild lotion to the wound with a cotton pad. This will not only reduce inflammation, but also reduce the redness and swelling after squeezing.

Can closed comedones be treated with acne needles?

You can use a sterilized acne needle to prick it, and then use a clean cotton swab to squeeze it out. This can avoid hurting the surrounding skin and prevent inflammation and infection. But pay attention to the following two points when squeezing:

1. Do not squeeze closed comedones with your bare hands because squeezing will cause skin damage. The bacteria on your hands can easily cause infection, turning closed comedones into open pimples.

2. Don’t squeeze closed comedones when they are not mature. It is difficult to squeeze them out when they are not mature. If you use force blindly, it will damage the surrounding healthy skin tissue and easily leave scars. If you want to squeeze it, you have to wait until the acne is "mature" and you can see white or yellowish particles clearly raised before squeezing it.

Notice! If you can help it, it's best not to squeeze it with your hands.

Closed comedones cannot be squeezed casually. It is best to puncture them with a sterilized needle.
