What does it feel like to wear a colored contact lens upside down? How to distinguish the front and back?

Colored contact lenses are worn a bit like contact lenses. A lot of people love them very much. What does it feel like to wear them upside down? How to distinguish the front and back of cosmetic contact lenses?

What does it feel like to wear your contact lenses upside down?

Wearing your contact lenses upside down may cause some discomfort. The main manifestation is tears in the eyes, because the reverse side will have some friction when in contact with the eyes, and the sense of adhesion is not strong, so tears will appear in the process of friction. The sensation of a foreign body in the eye is also noticeable. In addition, if the contact lenses are worn upside down, they will feel loose due to the lack of adsorption, and the discomfort will be particularly obvious.

How to distinguish the front and back of the cosmetic contact lenses

1. Look at the color depth

Cosmetic contact lenses usually have color patterns on one side and no color patterns on the other side. Place the contact lenses in the palm of your hand and observe them carefully. Usually the side with deep and clear color patterns is the front side, while the side with less obvious color patterns is the back side.

2. Look at the shape of the contact lenses

Keep your fingers dry, place the contact lens on any finger and observe its shape. If it is shaped like a round bowl or a standard semicircle, it is the front side. If it is shaped like a small dish with the opening opening to all sides, it is the back side.

3. Differentiate between squeezed contact lenses

After cleaning your hands, take the contact lens between your thumb and index finger and squeeze it gently with your hands. Be careful to be gentle. After squeezing, the front of the contact lens will close inwards, while the back of the contact lens will collapse outwards.

It is better not to wear colored contact lenses upside down, as it will affect the health of the eyes. Also, these colored contact lenses can be seen from both sides.
