Have you ever had an ingrown hair situation? Ingrown hairs are actually hair that curls back into the follicle, and this condition is more common in people with curly hair. Teach you how to solve the problem of ingrown hair 1. Exfoliation Twice a day, gently scrub and exfoliate the area with ingrown hairs. This helps remove dead skin cells, dirt, and oil from the skin that may cause ingrown hairs. Exfoliation can also physically help the hair grow out of the top of the skin! Try removing ingrown hairs from different directions, wearing an exfoliating glove, exfoliating your legs with salt, or exfoliating your skin with olive oil and sugar. Remember to be gentle. Although some force is required to be effective, don't press so hard around the ingrown hair that it bleeds. Notice! It is very difficult to remove an ingrown hair from underneath a scab. In this case, you'd better try a different method or consult a doctor. 2. Acne medication Ingrown hairs can be similar to acne, especially when they are accompanied by pustules. Apply benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid several times a day for several days. Medication combined with daily exfoliation can often get rid of ingrown hairs because it reduces swelling, giving the hair more room to grow out instead of growing inward. 3. Apply to the affected area Soak a washcloth in hot water, wring it out, and press it against the ingrown hair to soften the skin. Once the towel has cooled, re-wet it with hot water. If you can see hair embedded in the skin, this treatment can soften the hair and bring it closer to the surface. If you can't see the hair at first, continue applying heat until the hair appears above the surface of your skin. If you keep the heat on for more than ten minutes and still can't see the hair, then you either can't remove it yourself or there's something else going on with the ingrown hair. While you're worrying about skin problems, this might be a good opportunity to check if you have skin cancer. 4. Sharp objects Treat ingrown hairs using a sterile needle, tweezers, or a rotatable medical device to gently pull the hair out. This will pull the hair to the surface of the skin, but if it doesn't pull easily, don't dig too deep. If possible, you should avoid pulling the hair out completely; just make sure the ends of the hair are sticking out of the skin. It may take a while to pull the hair out, so you need to be persistent and not cut the skin. Sometimes you may see a circle of hair close to the surface of the skin. This means that the tip of the hair has begun to grow towards the skin. If you wrap a needle around the loop of hair and gently pull, the tip of the hair will usually come loose. If you are using tweezers, remember that tweezers are available in flat and pointed varieties. If used carefully, pointed tweezers will cause minimal damage to the skin around the hair. Another option is a rotatable medical device for ingrown hairs that does not damage the hair follicles and surrounding skin. 5. Apply warm milk and bread to the affected area Heat a small amount of milk, not too hot. Dip a piece of bread in the milk. Place the bread on the ingrown hair or abscess. You should feel it warm, but not too hot! Place the bread on the skin and remove it when it is cool, about 2 minutes. Repeat the above steps and apply the bread to the affected area for 10 minutes. Check the pore opening and poke it open with a needle to release the hair. If you don't see an opening, repeat the above steps. If you still can't open your pores, seek professional assistance. 6. Eggshell membrane Tear off the thin film inside the eggshell. Apply eggshell membrane to the ingrown hair area. Allow it to dry and shrink in the area. Once the eggshell membrane has dried, peel it off and the ingrown hair should come out with it. 7. Keep your skin away from ingrown hairs Wash the skin around the ingrown hair with warm water and a moisturizing soap. Avoid wearing tight clothing in the area with ingrown hairs, exfoliate regularly to prevent new ingrown hairs, and apply topical solutions daily to prevent more ingrown hairs. Sometimes, an ingrown hair won’t grow out of the skin no matter how you treat it because it’s located too deep in the skin. If none of these methods work, see your doctor or dermatologist for a prescription medication. Note: 1. Before use, make sure the razor is clean. 2. Try not to squeeze ingrown hair, as this may cause skin inflammation and infection, making the wound more difficult to heal. 3. If you can't see the hair, use the hot and wet compress for a little longer. 4. If there are burns or red lumps after treating the affected area, you can use moisturizer or vaseline to remove the redness and swelling. 5. Basically, tools can be disinfected by boiling them in hot water or cleaning them with alcohol. 6. Be sure to keep the affected area clean. It will help to thoroughly clean the specific area every time you take a shower. 7. Apply non-comedogenic cream to areas prone to ingrown hairs. 8. The longer the hair is, the less likely it is to curl and grow back into the skin, so try not to shave too closely. 9. Use a single-edge razor or electric razor instead of a multi-blade razor. If you also have the problem of ingrown hair, you might as well try the above methods! |
