Why is toner sticky?

Toner is used by many people. It is also the basis of general skin care that requires the use of lotion and emulsion. So why is toner sticky?

Why is toner sticky?

If the toner is sticky, it may contain oily ingredients. It is either not suitable for your skin type or not suitable for summer use. You can choose according to your own situation.

Toner is not suitable for all skin types. Some skin types cannot absorb it well and will cause the face to become sticky. The moisturizing type will feel sticky, while the refreshing type will not. It is recommended to use the moisturizing type in autumn and winter.

Toner is also called astringent water, lotion, etc. Some toners contain trace amounts of alcohol, while others are purely plant-based. The function of toner is to cleanse again to restore the pH value of the skin's surface, condition the stratum corneum, enable the skin to absorb better, and prepare for the use of skin care products. So after washing your face, use toner to quickly replenish moisture. It is recommended to use astringent for oily skin, toner for healthy skin, softener for dry skin, astringent for the T zone of mixed skin, and sensitive water or repair water for sensitive skin.

Why can't you use toner?

When toner is applied on the face, it can be better absorbed by the facial skin and moisturize the facial skin better.

After cleansing your face, you can apply toner. Soak a cotton pad with toner and pat it gently on your face and neck. Dab on forehead, cheeks, chin and nose or all over face. Remember not to apply toner by rubbing it on.

When using toner, you need to use a cotton pad. Many girls are not used to using cotton pads but instead use their hands to pat toner, but this can easily lead to uneven usage. When using toner, pour an appropriate amount of toner onto a cotton pad, and then gently wipe it along the lines on your face. This will help the toner penetrate into the skin.

Tips:

1. Avoid the eye area when applying toner

2. Some ingredients in toners may cause allergies, mainly manifested as redness, itching, burning, and peeling.

3. If you have sensitive skin, choose a rose facial toner

4. Never rub when applying toner

5. A toner with a lot of alcohol will dry out your skin

6. Apply toner only after thoroughly cleaning your face
