It is recommended not to wear contact lenses when cooking

During the cooking process, there are a large number of high-temperature oil particles and volatile irritating small particles in the air. Contact lenses have very strong adsorption properties and the particles in the air are easily adsorbed, which affects their service life and eye health.

When cooking, the temperature of the oil smoke in the air is very high. Although it will not directly cause the lenses to melt, it will affect the evaporation of moisture in the lenses. The contact lenses will become very hard and very uncomfortable to wear. It may even rub the cornea and cause dry eyes. So it is not a good idea to wear contact lenses when cooking.

Wearing contact lenses while cooking is actually not good for the lenses. When cooking, there are a lot of high-temperature oils and volatile, irritating small particles in the air. These substances will stick to the contact lenses, making them very dirty and affecting the clarity of vision. At the same time, these high-temperature particles will also affect the life of the lenses.

How to Wear Contact Lenses While Wearing Makeup

1. Clean your hands

Whether you are wearing or removing contact lenses, you should be careful to keep your hands clean. Try to minimize the bacteria on your hands when touching the contact lenses, which can help reduce the possibility of bacterial eye infection. In addition, you should also pay attention to not growing nails too long on the hands that wear contact lenses, as this can easily hurt your eyes and accumulate bacteria.

2. Wearing contact lenses

Wearing contact lenses with your fingers can be done by a professional or by yourself. After washing your hands, clean the lenses thoroughly. Look straight ahead with both eyes, use the index finger and thumb of the hand on the same side as the glasses to open the upper and lower eyelids, and position the fingers as close to the edge of the eyelid as possible; use the index finger of the other hand to hold the front of the lens (the front is the round bowl-shaped edge of the contact lens) and wear the lens on the cornea; release the index finger, look down, the lens can now be attached to the eye, and then release the middle finger. If they are uncomfortable, you can gently adjust the position of the glasses with your fingers and close your eyes to check whether they are worn properly.

3. Apply makeup

After wearing your contact lenses, you can start putting on makeup. However, be careful not to get makeup on your contact lenses.
