What kind of cotton pads should I buy? Choosing cotton pads is also a science

Cosmetic cotton pads are our skin care assistants that we use every day. Whether it is applying lotion, making water mask, or removing makeup, we need to use them. Let's see what kind of cosmetic cotton pads we should buy~

What kind of cotton pads should I buy?

Gentle material

Because they come into direct contact with the skin, natural cotton or silk are the best materials to choose, as they feel the softest and most comfortable. Artificial fibers should be avoided. At the same time, avoid adding any chemical substances, such as bleach, because experts say that chemical residues in the cotton pads may dissolve when exposed to moisture.

Soft touch

The specific touch depends on the matching products. If you use a general moisturizing lotion, the touch will of course be mainly soft. If you use it with exfoliation, you should choose a cotton pad with surface fiber treatment that can easily adhere to dead cells on the skin surface.

The right size

Because the correct way to hold a cotton pad is to use your index and ring fingers to hold the cotton pad between your middle fingers. This action is most convenient for controlling the force and direction, but everyone's fingers are different lengths, so you have to choose the size that suits you.

Thick enough

Don’t use very thin cotton pads for fear of wasting cosmetics. Remember to choose cotton pads that are at least 0.3 cm thick to be sufficient for use. In this way, the skin can absorb sufficient lotion when wiped, which not only makes the skin feel very comfortable, but also prevents irritation due to excessive friction. If the cotton pad is not thick enough, you can use two pieces together.

Density is sufficient

Cosmetic cotton pads that are not dense enough will easily break during use, and those of lower quality will leave cotton wool all over your face. The test method is to gently pull the cotton pad with your hands before use. If the cotton pad is easily torn, it means that the density is not enough.
