Cucumbers that are cut thinly are better for absorption. Cucumbers are rich in water. Although thicker slices mean more water, this does not mean that the skin can absorb all of it. Moreover, cucumber itself is oxidizing, and if applied for a long time it will lead to reverse absorption. Therefore, thinner cuts are better for absorption, and also avoid the problem of reverse absorption caused by long-term use.

How to slice cucumber for facial mask

1. Wash the cucumber thoroughly. Use a small brush to carefully clean the mud and various impurities on the surface of the cucumber under running water. To prevent pesticide residues on cucumbers, it is best to soak them in alkaline water for 5-10 minutes and then rinse them with clean water.

2. If the cucumber you choose is moist and tender, you do not need to peel it. But if it is older, it is better to peel it. But it is better to use coarse cucumbers as they have more moisture.

Note: When cutting, if the cucumber is relatively old, seeds may grow in the inner core. This kind of cucumber is actually not suitable for facial mask. We might as well cut off the seeded part in the middle and cut the rest into thin slices for use.

4. After slicing, stick the cucumber slices on your face and even your neck in front of a mirror, making sure they are evenly applied. After applying, only the nostrils are exposed on the face.
