Seven things to note after fruit acid peeling

Seven things to note after fruit acid peeling

Fruit acid peel is a relatively effective treatment for acne, but what should you pay attention to after the operation?

What to look out for after an acid peel

Avoid using makeup products within 24 hours after treatment. There may be mild redness and pain in the area 1 to 2 days after the skin peel. If scabs or desquamation occur 3 to 7 days later, let the scabs fall off naturally. Do not soak in hot springs or take a sauna within 7 days after the operation to avoid redness of the face. Use sunscreen after surgery, reapply sunscreen every 4 hours when indoors during the day, and every 2 hours when outdoors during the day to reduce the occurrence of pigmentation caused by ultraviolet rays.

Who is acid peel suitable for?

Fruit acid is effective for a variety of skin problems, but specific problems still need to be analyzed specifically. For different situations, the steps of fruit acid skin peeling, acid concentration, etc. will also be different. You can choose different concentrations of fruit acid depending on the effect you want to achieve.

1. Acne, oily skin, and enlarged pores

Since the sebaceous glands of acne-prone skin secrete more vigorously, the stratum corneum is usually thicker and easily clogs the pores, hindering the excretion of sebum.

Fruit acid can remove dead skin cells and reduce the secretion of sebaceous glands, so it is more effective in treating acne and blackheads. At the same time, it can also make the skin's oil secretion smoother and achieve the effect of shrinking pores. From the clinical effect point of view, fruit acid can also remove pigmentation and has a good effect on the red marks left by acne.

2. Skin rejuvenation and wrinkle removal

Fruit acid can promote the proliferation of collagen in the dermis, making the skin smoother and more elastic. It also has an improving effect on the pits left by acne and the loose skin and wrinkles caused by photoaging. It also brightens your skin tone.

3. Others

Applying fruit acid externally to treat melasma can accelerate the shedding of the pigmented stratum corneum, brightening the skin tone and lightening the spots.

Because keratosis pilaris can exfoliate the keratin and even the entire epidermis, fruit acid is effective for skin diseases such as abnormal epidermal hyperplasia.
