How to take care of your eyes? Don't ignore the care of your eyes, okay?

How to do eye care

Commonly used eye care methods include hot compress and meibomian gland massage. For hot compress, you can use water at about 40 degrees Celsius, close your eyes lightly and rest for about 15 minutes. Hot compress can improve blood circulation in the pharynx, reduce eyelid swelling, and relieve eye fatigue. Hot compress can be applied every day. Meibomian gland massage is performed after hot compress. After hot compress, the secretions in the meibomian glands soften, and massage can promote their discharge.

Eye massage

1. Three steps of eye massage:

(1) Wiping method: Make fists with both hands, bend your thumbs, and rub the upper eyelids with the back of your thumbs 20 times.

(2) Scissors method: Place the middle and ring fingers of both hands (middle finger on top, ring finger on bottom) on the inside of the eyes and gently pull them outwards, forming a pair of scissors.

(3) Eye caressing method: Rub the palms of your hands vigorously to generate a sense of heat, then quickly cover both eyeballs. Repeat 5-8 times to make your eyes warm and comfortable.

2. Acupoint massage

(1) Use the middle fingers of both hands to massage the temples, 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise.

(2) Use your right thumb and index finger to pinch the Yintang point between your eyebrows 10 times.

(3) Use both hands to massage the Jingming, Zanzhu, Yuyao, Chengqi and Sibai acupoints. When kneading, start from light to heavy, and then from heavy to light, 10 times each.

3. Eye exercise: Look around with both eyes, left and right, up and down 10 times each.
