It has less cleaning power than general amino acid-based facial cleansers and gently removes grease and dirt. It is not amazing when used alone and it is easy to feel that it is not clean enough.

However, by using the warm water and hot cloth method with a cotton towel, Sanye can remove almost all commuter-related sunscreens (excluding outdoor high-strength waterproof ones). I don’t recommend it for people with oily or acne-prone skin. It may not cleanse enough for you and may even cause acne.
