The difference between deodorant and antiperspirant: Don't make these mistakes

The most terrible thing in summer is not the sun, but sweating. Sweating your clothes is the worst thing, the unpleasant smell of sweat is really embarrassing. Antiperspirant is often a sales guarantee in the summer, which is also due to its efficient antiperspirant ability. Today we will talk about the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant.

The difference between deodorant and antiperspirant

Deodorants are mainly used to slow down and cover up body odors. They are used as cosmetics and do not change the physiological process of sweat glands secreting sweat. The main purpose of using them is to prevent bacteria from adhering to the body and producing sweat or other body odors. Antiperspirant is a care product that reduces sweat secretion by inhibiting perspiration, but it has both antiperspirant and body fragrance effects.

Precautions for using antiperspirant

1. Do not apply antiperspirant to damaged areas of the skin, as the chemical ingredients in antiperspirant will irritate the skin and cause discomfort.

2. Try not to use it too frequently. Apply it twice a day at most, and leave time for the sweat glands to work freely.

3. All antiperspirants are only suitable for small areas and should not be applied to large areas. Special attention should be paid to avoid applying them all over the body.

4. When reapplying antiperspirant when going out, wipe your skin clean with wet wipes or paper towels before reapplying to avoid bacterial growth.

What to do if the antiperspirant expires

Antiperspirant should not be used after it expires. The chemical ingredients in expired antiperspirant will deteriorate. Not only will it not have the same effect as before, it is also likely to irritate the skin and cause unnecessary trouble. Due to their special ingredients, antiperspirants cannot be recycled after they expire, so they need to be discarded as soon as possible to avoid misuse.
