Where are crow's feet? How are crow's feet formed?

Crow's feet are one of the manifestations of physiological aging of the human body. Because the lines are similar to those of a fish's tail, they are called crow's feet. So, where are the crow's feet?

Where are the crow's feet?

Crow's feet are wrinkles that appear between the corners of the eyes and the temples. They are called crow's feet because the lines are similar to those of a fish's tail. Crow's feet are caused by decreased skin elasticity and skin oxidation, so they are closely related to skin aging and are a manifestation of aging.

How are crow's feet formed?

1. Endocrine disorders: The formation of crow's feet is due to the decline of neuroendocrine function, decreased protein synthesis rate, decreased or lost activity of dermal fibroblasts, reduced and broken collagen fibers, resulting in decreased skin elasticity and increased wrinkles at the corners of the eyes.

2. Elastic fiber degeneration: From a medical point of view, this type of wrinkle is caused by the gradual aging of elastic fibers, the reduction of skin moisture and subcutaneous fat, the loss of skin elasticity, and the pulling of subcutaneous muscles. In addition to natural skin aging, major influencing factors include: sun exposure history, skin thickness, subcutaneous fat amount, smoking history, and the amount of contraction of the lateral orbicularis oculi muscle when smiling or squinting.

3. Collagen breakage: wrinkles, crow's feet, eye wrinkles, and fine lines are all oxidation lines. Because the above-mentioned collagen is easily damaged by light, heat, ozone or other oxidative factors, when the collagen in the dermis is oxidized due to the above-mentioned reasons, it breaks like a spring. After the collagen breaks, the supporting effect on the epidermis disappears, causing the epidermis to collapse unevenly. Therefore, crow's feet are just a manifestation of oxidation lines.

4. Climate and personal factors: The formation of crow's feet is also related to sun exposure, dryness, cold, too high a temperature of water for washing face, rich facial expressions, smoking, etc., which lead to decreased elasticity of fiber tissue and increased wrinkles around the eyes. Due to the dynamic wrinkles caused by long-term contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle, crow's feet appear radially.

How to prevent crow's feet

1. In daily life, we should pay attention to changing some bad habits, such as squinting, rubbing eyes with hands, etc., which will aggravate crow's feet on the skin.

2. In daily life, you should use some eye care products with anti-wrinkle effects, such as eye cream or eye essence, and apply them to the crow's feet around the eyes. Combined with massage, they can promote the absorption of effective ingredients, fade crow's feet, and restore the firmness of the skin around the eyes.

3. When taking care of your skin, do not rub the skin around your eyes vigorously. Instead, you need to gently massage your eyes with your hands. Rubbing vigorously will also deepen crow's feet. Through massage, the eye skin is soothed and made more relaxed.

4. The loss of collagen in the body can also cause crow's feet on the skin, because collagen has the function of increasing the skin's water storage, which can moisturize the skin and maintain the balance of water inside and outside the skin tissue cells. Therefore, supplementing collagen is also an effective way to improve crow's feet.
