At the same time, tyrosinase loses its activity and takes on the task of transporting it to keratinocytes. The more melanin protein is transferred into keratinocytes, the darker the skin color. Why do some people with the same skin color get very tanned while others' skin changes little after being exposed to the sun for the same amount of time? This is related to many factors.
