Hand care steps: How to do hand care in autumn and winter?

The weather is cold and my hands are dry, with hangnails around my nails. How can people with obsessive-compulsive disorder cope with this? Especially if you want to do manicures in autumn and winter, but your hands are wrinkled and cracked, no matter how beautiful the style is, it will be useless!

Required Tools

Towels, plastic wrap, heated gloves, scrub, massage lotion, hand mask, hand cream

Preliminary preparation

1. Wash and disinfect the hands of the manicurist and the customer, and wipe them clean.

2. Use exfoliating products and apply them on your hands and fingers in circular motions to remove dead skin.

3. Clean and wipe your hands.

Massage process

Apply massage lotion - massage in circles - stretch - press acupoints - rotate wrist - stretch as a whole - relax fingers - wipe hands - complete

Detailed steps: Take an appropriate amount of massage lotion in your hands, warm it with the body temperature of your palms, and spread the massage lotion.

Apply the massage lotion evenly on the back of the customer's hand.

Perform a light touch massage on your hands. The area near the wrist is massaged with strong touch using the manicurist's two thumbs. Rub the knuckles in circles from the base of the fingers to the fingertips, then pull upwards from the base of the fingers to the fingertips. As you massage each finger, apply pressure to the base and sides of the nail. Hold the entrance of your household with your thumb and do stretching exercises. The manicurist presses in the middle of the palm with both thumbs. Press at the base of your thumb and pinky finger. Use your knuckles to press into the center of your palm. Support the client's wrist from below and perform internal and external rotation. Interlace your fingers with those of the customer, stretch the base of the fingers and relax the joints. The manicurist uses the entire back of the hand to stretch the client's entire fingertips. Again, massage each finger in a circular motion. Wipe the customer's hand again. Wrap the whole hand with a steam towel, and the manicurist will apply gentle pressure with both hands.

Wipe the palms and backs of your hands clean, and wipe each finger one by one.

The fingers become soft and smooth as a whole, and follow-up care work

1. Apply hand mask.

2. Wrap with plastic wrap.

3. Put on electric heating gloves and apply hot compress for 10-15 minutes (spring and summer) and 15-20 minutes (autumn and winter).

4. Clean and wipe your hands.

5. Apply hand cream and massage until absorbed.

Even if you don't do manicure, it is very necessary to do hand care regularly.

Daily hand care tips

1. Do not use face cream instead of hand cream. Because hands need more moisture than face, although the cream can be absorbed quickly, it may not form an effective protective film on the hands.

2. Prepare hand cream in places within reach, such as: office, dressing table, kitchen, etc. Use it promptly after each work to relieve dry hands and effectively protect your hands.

3. After contact with alkaline substances such as detergent and soap, the tip for hand care is: apply a few drops of lemon water or vinegar water on your hands to remove the alkaline substances remaining on the skin surface, and then apply hand cream. Of course it is best to wear gloves in advance.

4. Choose different types of hand cream according to the different skin types of your hands. Hand creams suitable for dry skin usually contain glycerin, minerals, etc.; for skin that is rough due to work, hand creams usually contain natural collagen and vitamin E, etc.

5. Use olive oil to protect your hands. Add a proper amount of olive oil to warm water, soak your hands in it and keep it for 15 minutes. This can improve dry and rough skin and soften the cuticle. You can use olive oil for massage before going to bed at night.

6. If your hands are swollen, massage your hands regularly to promote blood circulation and prevent swelling. It is best to apply massage cream or olive oil when massaging. Use the thumb and index finger of one hand to hold the sides of the other finger and gently pull from the base to the tip. Do this 2-3 times for each finger, alternating between left and right hands.

7. If you get hangnails on your hands, don't pull them off hard. Soften them with warm water and then remove them. Having a lot of hangnails indicates to some extent that the body is lacking in vitamins. It is recommended that you massage the nails and knuckles with a nourishing oil containing vitamin E before going to bed every night, and the hangnails on your hands will disappear. Of course, it is best to go to the nail salon regularly for professional deep care every 2-3 weeks, so that your hands will be white and tender!
