Consider the tank and base
Inspect the opening, removable parts and places where water collects. Check which pieces are washable, which require wiping and which should never be immersed. A convenient fill opening is not automatically complete cleaning access.
Make time for care
EPA recommends emptying, drying and refilling portable tanks daily and cleaning them every third day. Follow the model instructions for the cleaning method, and rinse away cleaning agents before operation.
Keep reminders specific
Use a calendar reminder that names your device and task. Filters, tanks and accessories can have different instructions; do not assume that one cleaning recipe suits all materials.
