Your skin has melasma. How to remove melasma?

When women reach a certain age, they start to have some spots on their faces. When they are a little older, the symptoms of chloasma will become very obvious.

What to eat to whiten and lighten spots

Relevant experts have discovered through research that chloasma is a type of skin disease with a higher incidence rate. The most common chloasma is also known as butterfly spots and pregnancy spots. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is called "liver spots" and "dark spots". It is flaky and symmetrically distributed, yellowish-brown or black, mostly centered on the bridge of the nose, and occurs on the cheeks, cheekbones, and forehead. It also occurs on the upper lip and brow bone. The affected population is mainly young and middle-aged women. The cause of chloasma is relatively complicated.

1. External factors

1. Sun exposure

Chloasma is limited to exposed areas of the face and is often triggered or aggravated by sun exposure in the summer, indicating that it is related to sun exposure.

In life, when people go out or turn on the lights, the exposed skin will be exposed to sunlight or other strong light. Over time, the human skin will continue to be oxidized, thereby secreting a large amount of melanin, which will lead to pigmentation and form chloasma.

2. Use improper cosmetics

Cosmetics and skin care products containing chemicals and heavy metals such as lead and mercury penetrate into the skin and cause pathological damage to the skin, including the appearance of chloasma.

3. Improper skin cleansing

Whether incomplete cleaning or excessive cleaning will cause an imbalance in the skin's microecology and cause pathological damage to the skin, including the appearance of chloasma.

2. Internal factors

1. Poor ovarian function

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts can cause premature aging of women's faces, chloasma, freckles and breast hyperplasia. According to traditional Chinese medicine, blood has the function of nourishing the skin. When the nourishing function of blood weakens, clinical manifestations such as dull or yellow complexion, dry skin, and facial chloasma may be seen.

In addition, when the ovarian function is damaged, the female estrogen secretion will increase accordingly, which will cause the deposition of melanin in the skin over time, leading to the formation of chloasma.

2. Kidney hormone secretion disorder

The kidneys are responsible for producing many important hormones in the human body. When kidney function is impaired, the adrenal cortex will produce too much or too little of the main hormones such as cortisol (hydrocortisone), aldosterone and androgens (mainly dehydroepiandrosterone DHEA and androstenedione), which will increase sodium excretion and reduce potassium excretion, resulting in hyponatremia, hypochloremia, hyperkalemia, decreased urine concentrating function and electrolyte imbalance, causing severe dehydration and acidosis. Among them, chloasma is one of the pathological symptoms it produces.

3. Pregnancy

Patients who take oral contraceptives, have female reproductive organ diseases, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, adnexitis, and infertility are prone to chloasma. This is the result of the combined effect of the simultaneous increase in estrogen and progesterone. Chloasma often appears on the face of patients with certain chronic diseases such as liver disease, chronic alcoholism, tuberculosis, visceral tumors, thyroid disease and some autoimmune diseases. These are all related to endocrine disorders such as the ovaries, pituitary gland, and thyroid gland.

How to remove melasma

Pigmentation spots are generally caused by the deposition of melanin in the skin, and are divided into congenital and acquired types. Congenital pigmentation spots are caused by genetic factors. In addition to growing on the face, spots of varying degrees may appear on various parts of the body. Acquired pigmentation spots are generally caused by aging of the skin, ultraviolet damage and pathological reasons.

Do a good job of sun protection: Strengthening sun protection is the first step to lighten and remove spots. The damage of ultraviolet rays to skin tissue is sometimes irreversible. Even in spring, the power of sunlight cannot be ignored. Therefore, you should apply sunscreen every day. When the sun is strong, sunglasses and a sun hat are absolutely indispensable. In addition, sun protection for the arms and neck should also be followed up simultaneously.

Do a good job of cleaning and makeup removal: For women who use cosmetics for a long time, their faces will become dull and have spots. The main reason for this is that they do not do a good job of cleaning their faces, allowing harmful substances in cosmetics to enter the skin.

Wash your face with vinegar: Every time you wash your face, add a few drops of vinegar to warm water. This can not only soften aging skin cuticles, but also help lighten spots. It is best to choose white vinegar, as the acetic acid in this type of vinegar is more suitable for lightening spots.

Drink a glass of lemon water every day: Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which is a magical weapon for whitening and removing spots. Drinking a 250ml glass of lemon water every morning can not only keep the stomach and intestines normal and eliminate stool, but also whiten the skin and promote new metabolism. It is suitable for friends with spots on their faces.

If you want to improve skin problems, moisturizing is a key step. Then everyone should do a good job of care and take some corresponding protection for their skin. You should develop the habit of applying facial masks to moisturize your skin.
