There is no single perfect humidity number for every building and climate. A moderate range is commonly comfortable, but the safe upper limit may be lower when outdoor temperatures fall and condensation forms on windows or hidden surfaces.
Measure before adding moisture
Use a separate hygrometer, place it away from the mist plume, and compare readings over time. Built-in sensors can be affected by placement.
Watch the building
Reduce output if windows fog, surfaces feel damp, odors develop or humidity remains elevated. Persistent moisture problems need a building-level solution.
